TDK is a leading manufacturer of multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs), offering a broad portfolio of products suitable for a wide range of electronic applications. TDK MLCCs are available in various sizes, from ultra-miniature 0201 (0.6 mm × 0.3 mm) components to larger formats like 1812 (4.5 mm × 3.2 mm), meeting the needs of high-density mounting and space-constrained designs.
TDK began developing automotive-grade MLCCs in the early 2000s, in response to the increasing demand for high-reliability passive components in automotive electronics. These automotive MLCCs are compliant with AEC-Q200 standards and are designed to perform reliably under harsh environmental conditions such as high temperatures, humidity, and mechanical stress. TDK's automotive MLCCs are widely used in applications including powertrain control units, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), infotainment, and electric vehicle inverters.
